HEY! Tomorrow is the all new KappaKon in Milwaukee, WI! Some of my art friends and I will be there displaying our work and probably sketch jamming some wacky ideas.
Big Thanks to ShutoCon! I had a lot of fun, Lansing is nice quiet city and the folks were super cool. I got to sit next to the filmmakers of HOBOCON, these guys were awesome booth neighbors and really made the event even more fun. Hobocon is a film about 3 guys who go to GENCON with no food, money, or hotel arrangements and live off the kindness of fellow gamers. They filmed the whole thing! I haven't had a chance to watch the movie but it sounds hilarious.
Also in my row was Doug Smith. An extremely talented artist with great advice and a great attitude.
There were several other cool peeps in the AA, and I'm glad to hear that Shutocon broke their attendance goal. Nice to see these new cons doing well.
In other news, its official! I'm confirmed for Anime Iowa! I've been asked by several people to get into the AA at this con and I'm so glad I got in. I can't wait to see my Iowa friends again, as well as some of my Madison friends who will also be boothing there.
One final blurb is I did try and get into Otakon but I am officially on the waiting list of doom. Good luck to the rest of you who applied! I hope you make it!
