Hey Friends! I know most people are making the mad dash to ACen this weekend in Chicago. There is also a great Comic/Sci-Fi/indie comic convention in St. Paul this weekend. I've been going the past 3 years and its an amazing show, which is why I haven't given it up for ACen.
A group of my art friends will be with me at SpringCon doing commissions and selling their comics too. So definitely come out and chat with us and check out our work

I also added 2 more cons to my list below. Both are for CECE (Chicagoland Entertainment Collectors Expo). They are both one day cons in Carol Stream, IL. A lot of amazing fantasy, sci fi, and comic artists will be there. In the past they've had lots of cool actors/actresses from old Sci-Fi movies and shows. Last year I met so many cool people, some old Star Wars actors and Caroll Spinney (Big Bird and Oscar) from Sesame Street was there too! They also have a huge assortment of non sports trading cards. Really fun.

SpringCon usually ends up being the same weekend as ACEN, but it is a lot smaller and a different audience. I've always had a blast there so I can't give it up yet.
It's definitely a good time, you should go at least once, even just to spend the day there.
I'm thinking that SpringCon might be an option for me next year. Numbers wise, I can tell that I improved since ACEN '10 but I'm leaving the con at to much of a loss after travel, hotel, materials, etc. So, I don't think I'll be going back for a few years.
Have you found a new prospective apartment in town yet?
I fail, I haven't really been looking for apt again, but I should! If you hear of anything let me know! The other madison group is begging for me to move too. I need to do something about that
