This piece is dedicated to my friend Noel. She gave me a ton of bracelets at Geek.kon, which inspired this illustration. One bracelet had a boat, another had a giraffe, and it just so happened that on my wrist the giraffe landed right on the boat. I totally nerded out and showed EVERYONE!

At art night I sketched a crude drawing of the above and its been on my mind ever since.

How the heck is that thing afloat?! That's nuts. Look how high the displacement mark is!

Now if you were a real Physics Nerd, you would have noticed the magical starfish hoisting the ship up above the surface. Starfish are ultra muscly and, when clinging to boats, spontaneous magical things may happen ;)

Just remind me never to open the windows if I go on one of your cruises! No amount of starfish magic is stopping the sea coming in through those portholes. Nobody needs a soggy giraffe. Heh heh.
